Account: the personal account created by a User to access courses, exercises and progress features.
Services: all content and features offered on the Website, including courses, articles, interactive exercises, quizzes, projects, progress tracking and subscriptions.
Free access: limited access to the Website, including full interactive access to the first two chapters of each course and restricted access to later chapters.
Premium access: paid subscription access to all chapters and interactions in the available catalogue.
1. Purpose
These terms of use define the conditions for accessing and using the Website and the Services provided by the Publisher.
Using the Website implies full acceptance of these terms. If you do not accept them, you must stop using the Website.
The terms may be amended at any time. The applicable version is the version published on the Website when you use the Services. You are encouraged to consult them regularly.
2. Description of the Services
CommentCoder is a programming learning platform. It offers:
- Courses organised into chapters and sessions.
- Interactive exercises, with mobile and normal modes where available.
- Articles, quizzes, projects and educational content.
- Progress, experience points (XP) and activity tracking.
- Freemium access, with full practice in the first two chapters and limited access afterwards without a subscription.
The Publisher endeavours to provide accurate, up-to-date content but does not guarantee that it is free of errors, omissions or interruptions. Content is provided for educational purposes and may change.
3. Access and account creation
The Website is generally accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, subject to interruptions for maintenance, updates, technical incidents or events beyond our reasonable control.
Some features require an Account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity carried out through your Account. Report fraudulent use as soon as possible to [email protected].
The Publisher may suspend or delete an Account in the event of a breach of these terms, misuse, fraud or a risk to the security of the platform.
4. Free and Premium access
4.1 Free access
Without a subscription, you have full interactive access to the first two chapters of each course, including lessons, exercises, validation, quizzes, videos where applicable, XP and solutions for those chapters. Later chapters offer read-only or restricted access without all interactions, such as the editor, validation, quizzes, videos, XP and solutions.
Free features may change. The Publisher endeavours to make clear what is included in each offer.
4.2 Premium access
While your subscription is active, Premium provides full interactive access to available courses and chapters, within the Services actually published on the Website.
Subscriptions may be monthly or annual, depending on the offers presented at the time of purchase. The prices shown are the prices applicable when you purchase.
Regional pricing: subscription prices depend on the billing country. Some countries receive a reduced price; other countries use the full price. The country used is the country in the billing address entered during payment, and you must provide your correct billing country. If the selected price does not match the billing country, the subscription is not activated and you are asked to make another payment at the applicable price.
5. Orders, payment and billing
Website payments are processed by Stripe. The Publisher does not store full payment card numbers.
By confirming a subscription, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the price, any applicable commitment period and these terms.
Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically for an equivalent period at the then applicable price of the relevant offer until cancelled. If a payment fails, Premium access may be suspended or reduced following the payment provider's renewal attempts.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation: you may cancel at any time through “Manage my subscription” in the billing portal or by contacting [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Premium access remains active until the end of the period already paid for.
Refunds: a full refund may be requested within 14 days of the initial purchase by contacting [email protected]. After this period, payments for the current period are non-refundable. Cancellation alone does not trigger an automatic refund.
The Publisher may review refund requests and refuse abusive requests or requests that are clearly contrary to these terms.
7. User obligations
You agree to:
- Use the Website in accordance with applicable law and these terms.
- Not attempt to bypass free or Premium access restrictions.
- Not share, resell or publicly distribute paid content without permission.
- Not disrupt the Website, including through abusive automated extraction, overloading, intrusion or unauthorised reverse engineering.
- Not publish unlawful, defamatory or hateful content, or content that infringes third-party rights, in any interactive areas.
8. Intellectual property
All elements of the Website, including text, courses, exercises, quizzes, images, logos, videos, structure and brands, are protected by intellectual property rights.
You receive a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the content solely for your learning through the Website. Reproduction, distribution, resale, bulk extraction or commercial use without prior written permission is prohibited.
9. Availability, maintenance and liability
The Publisher takes reasonable steps to keep the Website available but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
To the extent permitted by law, the Publisher is not liable for indirect damage, loss of opportunity, data loss, commercial loss or damage resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the Website.
Educational content does not guarantee professional results, certification or employment.

11. Mobile application (Android and iOS)
The CommentCoder mobile application for Android and iOS (the “Application”) provides access to the Services from a mobile device. It is distributed through Google Play and Apple's App Store. These terms apply to the Application, subject to the following clarifications.
Purchases and subscriptions: subscriptions purchased in the Application are in-app purchases processed by Google Play or the App Store, where applicable through RevenueCat. The Publisher does not collect or store your banking details; they are processed by the store under its own terms. The applicable prices are those shown by the store at the time of purchase.
Cancellation: subscriptions purchased in the Application are cancelled through your Google Play or App Store account settings, or through the management portal available in the Application. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Premium access remains active until the end of the period already paid for.
Refunds: refund requests for in-app purchases are handled by Google Play or Apple under their respective policies. You may also contact us within 14 days of the initial purchase, and the Publisher will review your request. Cancellation alone does not trigger an automatic refund. For digital content supplied immediately, immediate access entails waiver of the 14-day withdrawal right where you have expressly consented before delivery, in accordance with applicable rules.
Account: you may delete your Account at any time from the Application settings. See Account and data deletion for details.
Notifications: the Application may offer educational reminders and notifications, subject to your prior permission. You may disable them at any time in the Application or device settings.
Store terms: Google Play and the App Store act as distributors and are not parties to these terms. Their respective terms apply to installation and purchases.

12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Estonian law, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions. In the event of a dispute, the parties will seek an amicable solution before taking legal action.
